Money Is And Can Be Motivation For Everyone - 867 Words

Assignment 4-3 I believe that money is and can be motivation for everyone in this world. We live in a world that is driven by money. In the United States, we rank the upper, middle, and lower classes by the amount of money brought into each household. The upper class people are usually known to live a life with little financial struggle. They are able to spend more money on items for personal need, and live the luxury life that people always dream of living. In the hierarchy of needs theory, money could play a role in multiple blocks. First, safety includes all of the things that we need to have in order to stay safe and healthy. Money comes from employment and is used toward things such as shelter, and food. Without a home, we would be living on the streets. Some people are driven to make money just to provide for their families and keep them safe. Money could also play a role in the self-esteem block. If you are making a good salary or even if you are providing for your family, one may feel a sense of achievement in doing so. Having money can boost the confidence, and self-esteem of individuals. In the two-factor theory, money would play a role in the hygiene factors. Salary and job security both are part of the hygiene factors. An individual in this theory would be seen as using the motivation of money to complete a task, but not necessary be happy with completing the task.
